Trainings and Presentations Offered

Doorways Information and Services (60-90 minutes)

Doorways staff can provide an informational session on the services that Doorways provides including an overview of all residential, housing, and client-centered programs.

Domestic Violence 101 (60-120 minute)

Doorways staff can provide education for any community about the dynamics and impacts of domestic violence including an overview of warning signs, the cycle of violence and the power and control wheel.  This presentation also highlights how people can become active bystanders themselves and spot the warning signs of violence.

Dating Abuse and Healthy Relationships for Teens, Youth, and College Students (60-120 minute)

Doorways staff can provide education for teens, youth and young adults about what a healthy relationship is and how they can recognize the warning signs of dating abuse in addition to how to help a friend and where to go for help. 

Homelessness 101 (60-120 minute)

Doorways staff can provide education for any community about the dynamics and impacts of family homelessness including an overview of the definition of homelessness and statistics.  This presentation also includes ways that the community can assist Doorways’ efforts in meeting the needs of homeless families.

Domestic Violence in the Workplace (60-120 minutes)

Doorways staff can educate your employees on how domestic violence impacts the workplace. Our presentation teaches the basics of workplace safety with training on how to recognize the warning signs of domestic violence, effectively and safely respond, and how to refer to local organizations for those who need help.
