Doorways envisions a Brighter Future for women and families in Northern Virginia; a future in which the threats of domestic violence, intimate partner abuse and family homelessness are no longer realities.
In order to achieve this vision, Doorways is launching the Brighter Futures Society, a special giving society of individual donors that recognize the need for on-going, sustainable funding. As investors, philanthropists and change agents, members of the Brighter Futures Society commit to donate $1,000 or more on an annual basis for a five-year period. This investment in the long-term sustainability of Doorways programs and services ensures that we will be there when no one else can be - when the needs become too profound and the opportunities become too few. We will be there until the threats are no more – beyond the safety net, beyond immediate shelter and into a Brighter Future.

Attend a Brighter Futures Tour
Doorways for Women & Families is now hosting monthly tours at the Freddie Mac Foundation Family Home. The Brighter Futures Tours illustrate the mission and services of Doorways, as well as showcase the Freddie Mac Foundation Family Home. During each tour guests learn about the specialized services Doorways provides to survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence and family homelessness, as well as hear inspirational stories of Doorways clients who have overcome adversity to build safe and successful futures for themselves and their families.
