Heather O’Malley
Development DirectorHeather joined the Doorways team as the Donor Relations Director in September 2009 before being promoted to Development Director in July 2011. She brought with her ten years of fundraising experience. Prior to joining Doorways, Heather was with the American Red Cross as a Senior Major Gift Officer, managing a strategic fundraising pilot program to train and support American Red Cross chapters across the country in individual major gifts fundraising using the Benevon Model for Sustainable Funding. She also served as the Major Gifts Officer for Biomedical Services at the American Red Cross, securing financial contributions from national foundations and corporations for the blood services program. Prior to the Red Cross, Heather served as the Assistant Director of Development at the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business, where she successfully raised major gifts from alumni and friends of the School. Heather has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Towson University in Maryland.
