Court Advocacy Program
The Doorways Court Advocate provides support to those impacted by domestic violence through assistance in accessing court services. The Court Advocate is based out of the Arlington County Courthouse, which allows Doorways to provide services to a much wider population, including Spanish speaking clients.
The Court Advocate assists any person who has been abused, including Doorways Safehouse clients and those not involved in Doorways programs that need court services. By working closely with the Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Intake Office, the Court Advocate is able to assist nearly all victims of abuse requiring court services.
