Embrace Your Voice: Virtual Poetry Share Honoring Survivors
🎙️ About the Event
Register now to attend Embrace Your Voice 2021, the seventh annual poetry share hosted in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) by Doorways, Friends of Guest House, and the Alexandria Sexual Assault Center. Since we are unable to come together in person for this year’s event, we will gather virtually.
✍🏻 About the Writers and the Readers
Interested in reading your work, or having your work read by a volunteer? Please contact monica.huerta@alexandriava.gov by April 13th.
Embrace Your Voice 2021 will feature poets from the Alexandria Sexual Assault Center, Doorways, and Friends of Guest House communities. Poets can choose to have their work read by a representative of one of these organizations listed above (with or without disclosing the poet’s name, according to their wishes), or they can read their own poem (with or without disclosing their name or themselves as the poet).
