How to Get Help

Everyone deserves safe, affordable housing and a quality life. It’s what we believe. And why we work every day to transform the lives of women and families who are facing homelessness or suffering from abuse. Beginning with a safe place to stay and continuing with services that address each individual’s needs, Doorways creates pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe and stable lives.

Domestic & Sexual Violence Program

The Domestic & Sexual Violence Program provides safe shelter and assistance to women, men, youth and children who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. Please note that shelter beds are prioritized for Arlington, VA residents.

Free and confidential crisis support, information and referrals are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Court Advocate: 703-244-5165 (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; if outside business hours, call the hotline for assistance)

Revive Domestic & Sexual Violence Counseling Program
Revive supports survivors seeking services due to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and/or stalking, including adults, youth and children. Through Revive, Doorways offers trauma-informed short-term counseling tailored to your needs to support you in your healing process. Learn more about Revive.

The HomeStart Supportive Housing Program offers community-based housing and supportive services for families as they move toward a new beginning and independent living for families leaving either of our shelters or living in worst-case housing situations.
