Doorways’ 5th Annual Brighter Futures Breakfast Stupendous Success!

In just one hour, the Arlington community rallied to raise $296,000 during Doorways’ 5th Annual Brighter Futures Breakfast, helping to ensure that Doorways is there for as long as the need continues to be high and wait lists exist for our help. At the Breakfast, Doorways for Women and Families hosted over 300 members of the Arlington community, spotlighting just what is possible when compassionate neighbors - local business leaders, government officials, faith and civic groups as well as individuals - come together to help women, men and children overcome crises and thrive.

Doorways Executive Director Caroline Jones spoke fervently about the gravity of this community’s support, “Together, we’ve built a comprehensive response to women and families in crisis that starts with a phone call and ends in safety and stability.  In the next five years, with your help, we will reach over 10,000 people.  Together, we will offer a safe home for those in crisis and the tools they need to rebuild their lives. We will build brighter futures for thousands of Arlington families.”

Doorways for Women and Families would like to extend a very special thank you to their amazing event sponsors, including Lead Sponsors– Clark Construction, The Keri Shull Team, and Shooshan Company; Signature Sponsor–Orange Line Living; Supporting Sponsor–Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley and Walsh PC; Gift Sponsor – Donna Hamaker, Realtor, Buck and Associates; Contributing Sponsors – John Marshall Bank and NTCA - The Rural Broadband Association;  Media Sponsor– Arlington Magazine; and Beverage Sponsor– Suja Juice. The aforementioned collective support further reiterates Doorways’ recognition that they alone cannot end violence and homelessness. But together, with their community, they can pave safe, stable pathways for so many of our most vulnerable neighbors.
