Fairfax DSVS: Living Safer at the Intersection of Technology & Intimate Partner Violence
Technology is an vital part of how we live our lives. From our phones, to our computers, to our smart devices, we rely on it to help us. Technology also creates opportunity for misuse and harm by those using violence in their relationships. In this session, we will discuss the most common forms of technology that are misused in domestic violence and the risks that survivors face from tech based abuse. We will explore how to support survivors using tech safely and integrating conversations about tech into safety planning. Presentation by Fairfax Domestic and Sexual Violence Services.
